What is the micro hygienist?

Hello everyone !ჰ❛‿❛ჴHello❤

***********************************

I introduce myself first.

My name is Naomi.ჰ❛‿❛ჴ I am an ordinary lady poor at English.
I am a dental hygienist who works in a dental office in Japan.
I do teeth cleaning and maintenance every day using the dental microscope.

Dentist uses a microscope for medical treatment.
However, I consider there are few dental hygienists using a microscope for tooth cleaning and maintenance in the world.
I want you to know the world which I can see under a microscope.

************************************

We call her micro hygienist.
Micro hygienist can find calculus of 1mm of pockets and can remove it

A dental microscope is a  only tool to enhance.
Dental calculus cannot be found only by using a microscope.
Capability is required in order to find dental calculus.

The capability to predict adhesion of dental calculus from the state of gum is needed.

Dental calculus is in a 1-mm pocket.

I remove dental calculus using ultrasonic scaler.

More.

I check from another angle.
Under a microscope, it is dangerous with the viewpoint from one direction.

There are a mirror view and direct view.

Finished!!

There are dental calculus in a pocket at least 1-mm. However, with the naked eye, it is not visible.I think that this is true preventive dental calculus removal.

I think that the dental microscope will change a dental hygienist's history.

Five days after ...

The gum which was carrying out the crush is cured finely completely.

It is wonderful!! Dental atraumatic scaling☆

I think that the dental microscope will change an oral hygienist's history.

No.1 dental hygienist in the world

Hello everyone !ჰ❛‿❛ჴHello❤

I'm Naomi , a Japanese dental hygienist.

I made the team in my office, Advanced Care Dr.Iritani’s Dental Office.
The name is a micro hygienist.

A micro hygienist is a professional group who removes dental calculus without opening gum using a dental microscope in Japan.

In the case of 4 mm or more, dental calculus cannot be taken in EBM.
The micro hygienist has a technique exceeding the limit.
The conventional scaling was the work which is not in sight.

But now,we can remove looking at the dental calculus in the pocket of 4 mm or more directly.

We train every day.

She was training.
She removed the dental calculus on a gingival margin first.

Next, she checked the inside of a pocket next.

She eliminated gum, and she removed dental calculus directly.

She did SRP.

Finished!!!

We aim at the dental hygienist who can remove dental calculus to No. 1 superior in the world.

I think that the dental microscope will change an oral hygienist's history.

Possibility of a dental microscope

Hello everyone !ჰ❛‿❛ჴHello❤

I'm Naomi , a Japanese dental hygienist.

This is a maintenance patient's case.

She said.

I have thought that it is easy to remove dental calculus. Because, gum is swollen.

exactly...but...

A problem is so easy.

There is always sense of incongruity at the left of  maxillary second molar .

The pocket depth is 3 mm. Only one place is deep.

I looked at dental calculus at distal surface.

I opened the periodontal pocket more.

Look!!!

I looked at big dental calculus under CEJ.

Oh my god...

I removed dental calculus using the ultrasonic scaler.

I did SRP using the hand scaler.

Finished!

It is beautiful directly under CEJ♡

Whew...This was a very difficult case.

I think that the dental microscope will change an oral hygienist's history.

Scaling to which the recession of the gum is not carried out

Hello everyone !ჰ❛‿❛ჴHello❤I'm Naomi , a Japanese dental hygienist.

Happy New Year, wishing you the very best for the year 2013.
I look forward to your continued good will in the coming year.

I think that scaling using the dental microscope has a big possibility.

By the treatment of the conventional periodontal disease, removal of dental calculus was blind work. That was, removal of dental calculus was the work done with feeling.

However, if I use a dental microscope, I can check dental calculus directly even a pocket of 4-mm or more. I can remove looking at it directly.

It is the first case this year.

She was uncomfortable, and wished dental calculus removal.
I checked a pocket. There was a 4-mm of pockets.

Probably, there is cement when a crown is set.

I remove dental calculus using an ultrasonic scaler.

A hand scaler is also used.

Root planing and curettage.

Finished!!

It is a photograph immediately after scaling & root planing.
If we do not give a damage to marginal gingiva and a pocket inside, it is finished so finely.

I think that the dental microscope will change an oral hygienist's history.

Check a periodontal pocket using a dentalmicroscope.

Hello everyone !ჰ❛‿❛ჴHello❤

I'm Naomi , a Japanese dental hygienist.

It had been several more days this year.

I really appreciate your help this year.I am thankful to you who always read a blog.
Best wishes for the Next Year!

It is the last case this year.

This is the patient in maintenance.

Upper right second molar. It is 1-mm-wide dental calculus.

Pocket depth is very deep. It is impossible to measure pocket depths exact , because there is a pain. Probably there is a pocket to the root apex.

Scaling.

curettage.

It is a cyst of a pocket bottom.

I check the root surface using a micro mirror. (mirror view)
Of course, I try to see directly. However, it is impossible when a pocket is deep. (direct view)

Finished.

Micro mirrors are my necessaries!!
Removal of the dental calculus of a deep pocket certainly requires a micro mirror.

I think that the dental microscope will change an oral hygienist's history.

THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MICRODENTISTRY / AMED

Hello everyone !ჰ❛‿❛ჴHello❤

I'm Naomi , a Japanese dental hygienist.

Yesterday, The international journal of microdentistry has been sent .

The report of the oral hygienist symposium of the Japanese microscope dentistry meeting in November, last year was published.

There, it was my photograph. I was surprised. oh!The right is me.

After the general presentaion, different rooms were used concurrently for a hygienists' symposium and table clinic. In Fujimi Hall,Itaru Yoshida, theSecretary General of the JAMD,coordinated the hygienists' symposium, which comprised presentations by panelists Naomi Toda(✿❛◡❛ฺฺ) and Mami Ohno, who spoke from the perspective of working at private dental clinics, and Emiko Nagata, who spoke from the perspective of working at the Nihon University School of Dentistry at Matsudo Hospital.

Throughout the world, it is extremely rare for dentalhygienists to be in an environment where they can use microscope, and the way each of the presenters managed to incorporate the microscope into treatment and to use it effectively,in spite of limited availability of information, came across clearly and led to an extremely interesting symposium.

I think that the dental microscope will change an oral hygienist's history.
